About me!

Hi There! I am Jodi Wood.
This is my third year on the Allendale PTO as a Volunteer Coordinator.
My husband Erik and I have three children - Cecilia, Cameron, and Caleigh, and our pup - Walter.
Starting this Fall, I will be working in the GSRP preschool program at the Early Childhood Center.
I also coach my daughter's soccer team.

We moved to Allendale 7 years ago and I love the community and all the wonderful people that live here.

I am so excited for the 2023-2024 school year!

What does a PTO Volunteer Coordinator do?

Coordinates and oversees volunteers for school activities & events (popcorn Fridays, artwork hanging, etc.). Ensures adequate equipment & supplies are at the AECC, Evergreen, & Oakwood buildings for popcorn Fridays. Documents consumables used per year so that an adequate budget can be set the following year. Ensures there is clear direction for volunteers (where, when, what is expected).
Organizes the Parent teacher conference meals; During each conference so 2 times per year. Communicate with secretaries at each school to figure out the correct amount of food and drinks for all staff and time food should be delivered that day. Get in contact with Peppino’s to work out details of what is all needed. The day of conferences all food needs to be delivered to each school by the time agreed to with the secretaries.
Organizes the fundraiser prize winner; In charge of organizing the prizes for fundraisers. Pizza parties, donut parties, etc. Once winners are announced you will need to get in contact with the teachers and figure out the date and times that work best. Will need to coordinate with Dominoes and Sprinkles with that date and time. Will need to purchase drinks, plates and napkins for the donut party. Will need to purchase drinks, plates, napkins, fruit and dessert for the pizza party. On the day of the party delivery will need to be made at each school to drop off the donuts and pizza.
